Today we had a great meeting in Madrid, in which we tried out the VR field trip and the VR collaboration tool that we are developing together with our university partners! Both tools are already available as prototypes, with functional networking, proximity chat (3D voice chat) and the first functionalities to support users in doing meetings and presentations. Our aim for this project for the next few months is to implement the next features which make the tools functional enough for the first tests with end users! We are excited about the progress and looking forward to execute the next steps.

Together with the FH Münster we developed a new scenario for ViReTrain.
ViReTrain is a Virtual Reality application that has been developed to provide learning scenarios to nurses in training. The development of the tool was initially funded by the Erasmus+ programme. In a new recent cooperation we worked on an update of the tool in which, aside from a few optimisations and a general update of the application, we added a whole new scenario.
The updated version is available on the project website.

We are part of a new project called VR-Intense. The aim of the project is to create a VR concept for HED, program, implement, and test a VR environment for VR glasses. In addition, it will be presented to universities, and a blended learning VR training concept on social and communicative topics will be designed, offered, and evaluated. The focus is on skills and improving students' learning abilities, as well as designing examples for the use of VR in HED, particularly with regard to Europe-wide collaborative virtual spaces for interaction and discussion. This means that the main goal is to create new VR-integrated teaching and learning environments for HED (higher education).
Given the constant changes in technology and the use of VR devices, the partners are focusing on designing an innovative learning environment that combines aspects of blended learning and digital media and embeds them in the partner organizations to create a transferable VR-in-HED strategy. Therefore, the core idea of the consortium is to collaborate internationally to jointly develop, apply, and evaluate VR tools.

We have finished the project "Computational Thinking Academy for inclusion", in which we had an international partnership with three other European organisations to create a free course for teachers to learn computational thinking and teaching it to their students. The project was co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme. You can check out the course here
The course is available in Swedish, German, Dutch, Italian and English.
